Letter from the President
The Council for Cosmetic Teeth Whitening (CCTW) is a trade group consisting of leading manufacturers, distributors and retailers of cosmetic tooth whitening products for the beauty industry. Our members have serious concerns about the unfair methods of competition employed by the American Dental Association (ADA) against this safe and legal industry, which is labeled “cosmetic” by the FDA; however, we feel this is a restraint of trade and goes against our constitutional rights.
To give you a brief up-date of what is happening in this industry, state dental boards continue to send out Cease and Desist letters, send private investigators and spy on our business harassing us like we are common criminals.
Whether used at home or offered as a service, over-the-counter strength products have been proven safe and effective in more than 100 clinical studies over the last 25 years. We are in compliance with the FDA, OSHA and have a Best Practice Protocol. If you are being harassed by your state dental boards, I urge you to contact me immediately.
